Environmental Impact Assessment is a broad field of practices and research areas, ranging from nature protection to economic sustainability of proposed actions. This multiplicity is also reflected in the programme of Nordic-Baltic impact assessment conference 2012. The themes covered in the conference are – among others – biodiversity and impact assessment; the emerging sector of resource extraction; planning of sea areas and strategic environmental assessment.
The conference programme has been under preparation since early September 2011. Continuous discussion over conference subjects in an international mailing list has taken place, with the aim of ensuring that all relevant matters find their way in the conference sessions.
"Climate change in Impact Assessment: Challenges and experiences" is one of the session topics.
