Only Eight Weeks Remaining  – Register Now!

The conference "Adaptation to Climate Change in the Baltic Sea Region" is a further step towards the political endorsement and the implementation of a Baltic Sea Region Climate Change Adaptation Strategy. It will bring together policy makers across all levels, scientists and other stakeholders dealing with climate change adaptation in the Baltic Sea Region and beyond.

  • André Jol, Head of Group Vulnerability and Adaptation, European Environment Agency
  • Erik Kjellström, Associate Professor, Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute
  • Hans von Storch, Director, Institute for Coastal Research, Helmholtz Center Geesthacht
  • Sebastian Catovsky, Head of Adaptation, Committee on Climate Change (UK)

You are welcome to contribute to one of the parallel sessions with the following topic:
  • Save the Sea – Climate change impacts and adaptation options for safeguarding Baltic marine life and ecosystem services
  • Connect the Region – Coordination and cooperation in climate change adaptation on all levels
  • Increase Prosperity – Facing climate change pro-actively: collaborative governance, adaptive economy and spatial planning

Experience Interactive Geodome Visualisations

Visualisation technology makes it easier to understand the complexity of climate change issues. During the Conference, you will have the unique opportunity to experience a number of interactive visualisations on the future climate in the Geodome – an inflatable dome theatre with the possibility to project visualisations on the ceiling.
